The Online Foundation Course in Mathematics (OFCM) is an MTTS initiative consisting of six online regional camps on mathematical foundations for second year undergraduate students in Mathematics. The programme is being organized by the MTTS Trust since 2020, and about five hundred students drawn from different parts of the country who have just completed their second semester are trained following the interactive MTTS methodology through these camps.
There will be six simultaneous regional camps each admitting about 80 participants. The programme will be organized online on the Zoom platform and will be supported by class communications through MTTS Classroom (Moodle).

31st Mathematics Training and Talent Search Programme will take place at three venues during May-June 2023.
There are three levels in this Programme: Level O, Level I and Level II. Three camps will be conducted for Level O and one each for Levels I and II.
Level O : There will be courses in Foundations, Linear Algebra, Analysis, and Number Theory/Group Theory.
Levels I and II : There will be courses in Algebra, Analysis, Topology and Linear Algebra.
Student seminars and group discussions in all the three levels form an integral part of this programme. The faculty for this programme will be active mathematicians with strong commitment to teaching from leading institutions in the country. The aim of the instruction is not to give routine theorem-proof style lectures but to stimulate the participants to think and discover mathematical results on their own.
Level O: 2nd year (3rd/4th Semester) undergraduate students with mathematics as one of the main/major subjects.
Level I: 3rd year (5th/6th Semester) undergraduate students with mathematics as one of the main/major subjects.
Level II: 1st year (1st/2nd Semester) postgraduate students with mathematics as one of the main/major subjects.
Last date to apply: 19 February 2023.

The ongoing situation of a pandemic has put us behind closed doors and we are not sure when seminars and other academic events will start taking place. This webinar series is an attempt to bring together researchers and graduate students working in the areas of Operator Theory and Operator Algebras by means of virtual weekly seminars over Zoom.
The theme of this program is to introduce concepts behind recent breakthroughs and highlight open problems. The plan is to invite experts from both the research areas to give expository talks as well as research talks based on their fields of expertise. The webinars will be accessible to graduate students and postdocs.
Schedule: Wednesdays at 17:00 hrs IST. (Click here for the list of talks.)
There is an initiative by the ICM - Indian Center for Mathematics making youtube videos discussing interesting post-graduate level questions from various areas of mathematics. Currently short videos (of 2-3 minutes duration) each discussing a single or a multiple choice question are being uploaded on the youtube channel. Please watch the videos, and make use of it. I strongly believe that this can serve as an alternative to our Question of the Week program which is being suspended due the COVID19 outbreak.
Prof. S. Kumaresan, founder of the MTTS Programme, has started preparing video lectures for undergrad students. These lectures may serve as a substitute to learning from the MTTS programme. You may please encourage your students to make good use of this opportunity. Click on the following link to visit the YouTube channel.
